Discover Tiel!
Tiel is one of the ten oldest cities in the Netherlands. Tiel, a Hanseatic city located on the river Waal, was already a very important trading city around the year 1000. Our historic center with its charming shopping streets still reminds us of this. It is a very pleasant place with numerous shops, restaurants, and cafés, beautiful parks, and city gardens.
There is also plenty to experience culturally in Tiel. At the Schouwburg Filmtheater Agnietenhof, you can enjoy many wonderful performances and films. Also, visit the cultural building Zinder, which houses, among other things, the library, music school, exhibitions, and a small concert hall. In Zinder, you will also find the Tourist Information Point (TIP).
